Abigail Leigh Spencer (born August 4 1981) is an American actor. The actress Abigail Spencer was an American actress. She was born on August 4 the 4th of August, 1981. Her current role is Amantha in Rectify the Sundance Channel series. Abigail Leigh Spencer works as an actress on the film and TV industry. She became popular with her performances in the drama show Rectify and the sci-fi series Timeless. Gulf Breeze Florida native made her debut as an actor in All My Children. The actress was awarded the Soap Opera Digest Award for the Best Female Newcomer. The next couple of years she mainly played roles as guest stars on a variety of TV shows. For instance, in the TV show Hawthorne the actress was widely recognized for her role as her character Dr. Erin Jameson. Gradually, her beautiful looks and impressive acting skills helped her to build an ardent fan base. Her debut film came at just twenty-something, and she appeared the role of a girl in Campfire Stones. Her other roles in are Jekyll This Means War and Chasing Mavericks. The actress was nominated for the Madrid International Film Festival Award for her part in the film Beautiful Now'. The film starred her as Lucy Preston the history professor in Timeless. The series has been praised by critics, and Spencer's character has been nominated in The Teen Choice Award.
